It is definitely not easy to travel alone, especially when planning a trip to Tibet. I am so thankful for Tibet Vista, because I found a real family in Tibet. All the travelers in our group were truly amazing. I was not alone there. I was among like-minded people who were ready to visit Everest base camp, do Kora, share experiences, and have a lot of fun together.

Helpful Advice in Planning My Tibet Trip
First of all, it was easy to communicate with Tibet Vista for preparing all the details before my trip. My manager, Holly, answered extremely fast, and I got all the answers, which were very helpful. Holly sent me all the necessary documents, and I got my Chinese visa without any problems.
I followed Holly’s advice, and I am glad that I took the Beijing to Lhasa train, which helped me to adapt to a high altitude faster. The trip was well-prepared, everything was organized and I felt safe and comfortable on the way.
I acclimatized better to the high altitude of Tibet after taking the train to Tibet.
Wonderful Tibet Group Tour with an Excellent Guide
I think one of the most important parts of a group tour in Tibet is the tour guide. And we were super lucky, because our group was led by Phurphur. I was so inspired by his stories about Tibetan history and Buddhist philosophy. After the trip, I bought a couple of books at home to continue my learning journey about this beautiful land. He was very careful, protective, polite, and funny at the same time, and he taught us how to relax and enjoy fully.
The only think I would suggest to improve is to organize a welcome dinner with more networking. I think it would be great to give a word to every group member for a short introduction (name, country, hobbies, and so on). I think this short presentation could help a group to avoid awkwardness and embarrassment in the first days of the trip.

Detailed Travel Experience from Lhasa to Mt.Everest and Mt.Kailash
Our 15-day Lhasa to Mount Kailash tour started with visiting old Buddhist monasteries near Lhasa. It was a mind-blowing experience. Our hands and voices were shaking, because you easily dive into this magical atmosphere.
Visited the Jokhang Temple in Lhasa.
I am a traveler who likes to meet local people for seeing how they live and exploring their routine. I want to thank Tibet Vista to organize for us a meeting with a local Tibetan family. We had lunch in a Tibetan house, which was so unique, as we tried different local food and drinks, and talked with the host about real Tibetan life. I think it was the best part to learn about daily life in Tibet.
During the last 4 years, I watched many movies and documentaries about Mount Everest, and I did not even think that one day I could wake up in Everest Base Camp and see this mount on my own.
It was crazy, I was crying like a baby there. It was in the middle of May and we were lucky with the weather, because there were no clouds at all, the sky was blue and the mount looked incredible.
Finally fulfilled my dream of seeing Mount Everest with my own eyes.
All of us were surprised by the conditions of the Everest Base Camp tent guesthouse. I expected a huge dormitory or a tent camp with minimum facilities. But in reality, there were cozy, warm, and well-equipped rooms for 3-4 people with big and soft beds, and all the necessary things were provided. We spent half of the night looking at the stars above Everest. I am sure I will never forget this moment.
Even at 9 p.m., the sky at Everest Base Camp was still bright, with the snow-white peak of Everest in view.
For me, the most important part of the trip was Mount Kailash. Our guide told us that Kailash calls people to come. Kailash called me 10 years ago when I saw the picture of it for the first time. I am so happy that after many years of reading and learning about Kora and Buddhist philosophy, I woke up in November and finally decided to follow my dream.
Visiting Mount Kailash was the best part of my Tibet tour!
Of course, the biggest problem was the high altitude of Mount Kailash. I could not breathe normally and almost didn’t eat anything, but all the issues were nothing compared to the emotions and experiences I had on the way.
I think it is very important to get physically prepared before Kora, because it is definitely not an easy walk. I would strongly recommend to workout 1-2 times a week and go to a swimming pool to make the lungs stronger. Also, it is necessary to prepare all the medicine and vitamins in advance.
It’s essential to take physical preparation for Mount Kailash trek.
Don’t skip visiting the Diraphuk monastery, it was a cherry picking moment of our Kora – monks organized for us an incredible praying ceremony. Our guide took care of everyone in the group and helped a lot on the way.

A Truly Unforgettable Journey to Tibet Beyond My Expectations
I have already been to more than 50 countries, and I can truly say that this Tibet tour was the most memorable I have ever experienced in my life.
I would definitely recommend to visit Tibet for those people who are read to challenge themselves, who are ready to explore the beautiful culture and meet lovely and kind Tibetan people.
I have already inspired all my friends to visit Tibet, and actually I am ready to come one more time too.
