I had read many books about Tibetan culture, Buddhism, and the great yogis who lived and meditated in its caves.

I wanted to experience Tibet not as a tourist, but as a spiritual seeker - to feel its essence through the eyes of someone who calls it home. I began researching online and contacted several travel agencies offering tours to Tibet. Many of them looked professional, but something always felt missing.

When the day finally came, my guide picked me up directly from my hotel in Kathmandu. Crossing the border into Tibet was an adventure in itself - an interesting and unique experience that marked the true beginning of our journey. As we ascended higher and higher, the landscapes changed dramatically.
The views of the Himalayas were breathtaking - vast, pure, and humbling. We stopped several times along the way to enjoy the scenery, take pictures, and gradually acclimatize to the altitude.
Once in Tibet, I was introduced to my local Tibetan guide, who immediately made me feel comfortable and welcome. He was incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and attentive - not only explaining the cultural and historical aspects of each place, but also making sure I was feeling well, drinking enough water, and adjusting properly to the high altitude.
What made this journey truly special was the personal connection with my guide. During our conversations, I shared my interest in visiting sacred caves related to the great yogi Milarepa and other realized masters. He completely understood and offered to take me to several lesser-known monasteries and sites, far from the tourist routes.

These were hidden gems - peaceful, authentic, and full of spiritual presence. Visiting those places was one of the highlights of my trip, and I’m deeply grateful for his willingness to go beyond the standard itinerary.
Each day brought new experiences - from ancient monasteries filled with chanting monks to endless stretches of pristine landscapes where the silence itself seemed alive. The energy of Tibet is unlike anywhere else on Earth. There is a feeling of vastness and serenity that touches your soul in a very deep way.
One of the most profound parts of my journey was doing the Kora around Mount Kailash. For many years, this pilgrimage had been on my personal list of spiritual goals - something I wanted to accomplish as part of my path. Completing the Kora was not only physically demanding but also emotionally and spiritually transformative.
Walking around this sacred mountain, surrounded by pilgrims from different traditions, I felt a deep sense of humility, connection, and peace. It was truly one of the most meaningful experiences of my life - and a dream come true for 2025 that I was blessed to fulfill earlier.

Throughout the entire trip, I was constantly impressed by the professionalism and warmth of the Tibet Vista team. My guide took care of every detail - from meals and accommodation to transportation and timing. What touched me the most was how genuinely caring he was.
I honestly felt as if I was traveling with a member of my own family. He would always ask how I was feeling, if I had eaten, or if there was anything I needed. Even the return journey, which could have been stressful, went smoothly.
