Lhasa Nyingchi Railway is the first plateau electrified railroad in China, with a total length of 435.8 kilometers and a designed speed of 160 km/h. Currently, there is one high-speed train, train C881, running between Lhasa and Nyingchi every day.

The Business class seat is the most deluxe seat on the high-speed train with the highest price. On each side of the aisle, there is only one seat with much private space. The leather seat can be adjusted to different angles with the controls, even allowing you to lie completely flat so that you can enjoy your Lhasa Nyingchi train journey in great comfort.

The Lhasa to Nyingchi high-speed train is specially customized for riding through the Tibetan Plateau. It is equipped with continuous oxygen supply systems, including diffused oxygen supply in the car and separate oxygen supply ports under the seats.
With its lower altitude compared to the rest of Tibet, there is less risk of getting altitude sickness when visiting Nyingchi, so there is no need to worry too much.

1. Smoking is not allowed on board the Lhasa Nyingchi high-speed train.
2. You can store your luggage on the luggage rack above your seat or put big baggage in the luggage space at the connection of two coaches.

Lhasa Nyingchi Railway - The First Electrified Railroad in Tibet
The Lhasa-Nyingchi railway is the third section of the Sichuan Tibet railway. It connects Lhasa in the west and Nyingchi in the east, passing through Shannan City.
The length of the Lhasa Nyingchi railway is around 435.48 kilometers, 75% of which are tunnels and bridges.
There are 47 tunnels and 121 bridges along the entire line, including the 525.1-meter-long Zangmu Yarlung Zangbo River Bridge and the 2,515-meter-long Lindana Tunnel, both of which are miracles of plateau railway engineering.
Shuttling between the tunnels and the bridges, if not for the flashing plateau scenery outside the window, you may hardly realize that this windy high-speed train is running on the roof of the world.
