Then, continue the drive along the new zigzag road to Everest Base Camp. As you get close to the base camp, the majestic Everest gradually unfolds before you, drawing nearer with each winding turn.

Upon reaching Everest Base Camp, the colossal white pyramid peak of Mount Everest stands towering before you. As the day transitions to dusk, you can witness the golden hues of the sun casting a warm glow on Everest's northern face.

Stay overnight at Rongbuk Monastery Hotel or the tent hotel at Everest Base Camp. If the accommodations at base camp are unavailable in winter, you can stay in a local village near Everest Base Camp.

Insider Tips:
1. The visibility of Everest is subject to weather conditions and cannot be guaranteed.

3. Due to the harsh environment at Everest Base Camp, the accommodation conditions are quite basic. Please note that showers are not available at any of the hotels in this area. However, the Rongbuk Monastery Guesthouse and the newly renovated tent hotel feature oxygen and heating systems to ensure your stay is as comfortable as possible.

Then, you will cross the Himalayas and take a drive to Gyirong at the Sino-Nepal border. Across the 380-kilometer journey, marvel at the evolving scenery - from snow-capped peaks towering over 5000 meters to the lush forests and canyon vistas at around 2800 meters above sea level.

As you pass by Mt. Shishabangma (8,027 meters), one of the world’s highest mountains over 8000 meters, you can enjoy a close view of the three main peaks of Shigabangma, as well as the golden glow of Pelku Tso Lake beneath the peaks.

When you arrive in Gyirong, what you will see is the dense forest and the snowy peaks above the forest.

Stay overnight in Gyirong.

Insider Tips:
1. The rest of the tour from the Himalayan Range to Kathmandu involves a roller-coaster ride all the way down the south. As the altitude gets lower, you will get more oxygen from more vegetation.
