Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal, is the only city with direct international flights to Lhasa. Recently, only the Himalaya Airlines runs the flight between Kathmandu and Lhasa every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

It takes 1 hour and 15 minutes to fly from Kathmandu to Lhasa, during which you will fly over the Himalayas and enjoy stunning views of Mount Everest from the plane. However, with only three flights per week, this once convenient way to get to Lhasa becomes expensive, and difficult to get a ticket from Kathmandu.
